Description
The censer called a katsia is a hand censer shaped like a ladle. Having no chain, it is not swung by the deacon or priest but simply carried out and set down in church to burn incense. By tradition the katsia is placed beside the epitaphios when it is brought out for veneration.
This nickel-plated brass and copper censer has a wooden handle. It is shaped like a round chapel crowned with a dome and a four-pointed cross. The lid has pierced vents for air and the fragrant smoke. Comes with a liner.
