Incense is one of the most ancient aromatics. In antiquity it was a precious gift, offered to kings as a sign of special reverence.

In the Gospel, incense is one of the gifts the Magi brought, with gold and myrrh, to the Lord Jesus Christ born in Bethlehem.

When incense is offered in church, the fragrant smoke rising easily upwards symbolises sincere prayer rising from the heart to God.

It follows an old method used for several centuries on the Holy Mountain of Athos. In the Orthodox Church, Athonite incense is still considered the benchmark.

It is made from the finest natural ingredients: resins and aromatic oils.

The resin is Lebanese cedar resin from Ethiopia, which meets the highest standards; the aromatic blend comes from French producers who use only natural ingredients in their oils.
