The Law of Christ, Nativity, book II.
"The Law of Christ" is a series devoted to the great feasts of the Church. It brings together material gathered over the centuries in the Georgian Church and intended for the faithful taking part in public worship. Each volume contains:
• a theological explanation of the feast's event;
• festal readings from Holy Scripture together with the commentaries of the Church Fathers and historical notes;
• sermons and hymns preserved in ancient manuscripts — both those still sung in churches today and those used in worship centuries ago;
• an explanation of the feast's iconography with color illustrations.
Each Old Georgian text is accompanied by its corresponding modern Georgian rendering.
Printed to a high standard, with a sturdy, full-color hardcover.
