The "Alilo" Publishing House has printed the celebrated two-volume work by Father Herman (Podmoshensky) and Father Seraphim (Rose): "Blessed John the Wonderworker, Archbishop of Shanghai and San Francisco".
Blessed John is one of the outstanding saints of the twentieth century. He was a God-inspired theologian, a fool for Christ, a missionary, a benefactor, a man of strict ascetic life, and a loving father to the heavy-laden. Like Moses, he led his flock toward freedom at a time when a brutal communist regime raged in China.
Even now, many years after his repose, he seems to reach into people's hearts and answer their deepest, most mystical questions as though time did not exist.
The book, dedicated to the life and work of the saint, was compiled through the tireless labor of Father Herman and Father Seraphim.
We hope that this new edition will serve the spiritual growth of the reader.
