Description

Handmade Byzantine Icon of Jesus Christ the Saviour . The image depicts Jesus Christ with his head framed in a halo, blessing and holding open the Gospel, while the left and right sides of the Lord bear the Greek inscription "Ο Σωτήρ του Κόσμου", meaning "The Saviour of the World" .

It is made by experienced craftsmen with devotion and respect for the art of the Christian tradition.

The icon is created using the technique of gold printing while its background consists of hagiographic leaves of 22 carat gold which are applied in detail. The final treatment is done with a special varnish to maintain its shine.

It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
