Byzantine Hand Painted Icon of Saint Polyxene.
Saint Polyxene came from Spain. Because of her beauty, she was kidnapped by a man and taken to Patras, where she turned to the Christians for protection.
She was baptized by Saint Andrew and together with her sister, Saint Xanthippe , dedicated herself to a great Christian work until the end of her life.
