Handmade Byzantine Icon of Panagia Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The miraculous Icon of Panagia Our Lady of Perpetual Help is located in the Holy Monastery of Koutloumousiou on Mount Athos. It was transported there, since it was the only object that was saved from a big fire that completely destroyed a metochi of the Monastery in Crete.
The Icon of Panagia continues to perform its miracles from the Templon of the Catholic chapel and on the Tuesday of Diakainisimi Week it is taken in procession from the monastery to the Protato, where it repays the visit of "Axion Estin", made on the day before in Koutloumoussi.
Prayer to Our Lady Of Perpetual Help
O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke Thy most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. O Purest Mary, O Sweetest Mary, let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips.
The I con of of Panagia Our Lady of Perpetual Help is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
