Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Eustratios.
Saint Eustratios was a senior officer in the Roman Army. During the persecutions against the Christians, he confessed his faith and sided with them. His attitude angered Duke Lysias, who ordered his arrest and torture to death.
Apolytikion
Thy Martyrs, O Lord, in their courageous contest for Thee received as the prize the crowns of incorruption and life from Thee, our immortal God. For since they possessed Thy strength, they cast down the tyrants and wholly destroyed the demons' strengthless presumption. O Christ God, by their prayers, save our souls, since Thou art merciful.
The Icon of Saint Eustratios is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
