Description

Diaphanous Byzantine Icon of Panagia Proussiotissa. Panagia is depicted holding young Jesus Christ in her arms.

The miraculous Icon of Panagia Proussiotissa was saved from Bursa in Asia Minor around 829 AD during the era of iconoclasm. The icon was taken all the way to Thrace by a young man, but its traces were mysteriously lost there. Then, the Icon was revealed to a shepherd, in the area of Evrytania, in the form of a column of light indicating in this way the spot where the Virgin wanted the current monastery to be build .

The Icon is made from the best quality cast Plexiglass , giving the illusion of glass while offering a three-dimensional luxury.

The D iaphanous Byzantine Icon of Panagia Proussiotissa is sent in a beautiful package and is a modern and unique choice to offer as a gift.
